Your private guide will greet you at your hotel and provide an introduction to the day’s journey through Lisbon’s history and iconic landmarks.
Stop 1 – Parque Eduardo VII
Begin with breathtaking panoramic views over Lisbon and an engaging historical overview of the city.
Stop 2 – Avenida da Liberdade
Stroll down this elegant boulevard, passing the Marquis of Pombal Roundabout and reaching Restauradores Square, where we’ll park and continue exploring on foot.
Stop 3 – Baixa Pombalina
Walk through the historic downtown area, discovering Restauradores’ monuments, the cobblestone worker tribute, the Palace Hotel, and Rossio Station. Visit Largo do Carmo, a site of two major historical events, and enjoy views from the Santa Justa Lift overlooking Lisbon’s rebuilt center after the 1755 earthquake.
Stop 4 – Historical Centre
Explore Chiado and its charming streets, stroll through Praça do Comércio, and walk up Rua Augusta. Visit São Domingos Church, the site of the 1506 massacre, and Rossio Square with its National Theatre, formerly the headquarters of the Inquisition. We’ll then return to the car.
Stop 5 – Belém District
Continue to Belém for a traditional Portuguese lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
Stop 6 – Jerónimos Monastery
Tour the magnificent 16th-century monastery and enjoy a tasting of the world-famous Pastéis de Belém (pastry cost not included).
Stop 7 – Discoveries & Tower of Belém
Drive by the Monument to the Discoveries and the iconic Belém Tower, historic departure points for Portugal’s legendary voyages.
17:00 – Return to Hotel
Relax as we drive you back to your hotel after a full day of exploration.
